Say Hello

Yorkshire Payroll Services Ltd  is a professional and friendly company, based in Yorkshire.

Our Mission is to deliver the highest standard of customer service, and support businesses through the complex world of payroll.

Yorkshire Payroll Services Ltd was founded by Jo Marshall in April 2016. Jo had worked for a HR and Payroll software provider in Leeds for nearly a decade specialising in payroll. Starting her career as a Product Consultant, she moved into Project Management, planning the software implementations with the client and the teams within the business. Jo then became the Payroll Quality Manager, dealing with anything to do with payroll; sales, development, testing for HMRC accreditation, support and projects.

In 2012 Jo developed and launched the company's payroll bureau service, offering payroll processing using the company's own HR and payroll software. The service was such a success, it was later re-launched as payroll managed service.

Four years later, Jo decided to use the experience and skills she had gained and offer a payroll service that would support businesses through the complex world of payroll, whilst providing the highest standard of customer service.

Jo Marshall

Director and Founder

I am a payroll consultant with more than 20 years' payroll experience. For 10 years' I worked for a HR and payroll software house in Leeds. I currently provide payroll training and consultancy to all businesses, regardless of size. Recent consultancy projects have included, a recalculation of national insurance, prior to a HMRC audit, and a check for compliance against national minimum wage.

With the naming and shaming route HMRC and The Pension Regulator are taking for non compliance of national minimum wage and automatic enrolment duties, every business needs to ensure they are complying with these complex regulations.

The payroll world will see further changes in the future following the Taylor review and the governments four consultations. Items such as holiday pay entitlement and calculation, absence management and sick pay, if the proposals go ahead, these will be added to the naming and shaming list.

The issue now, isn't about paying arrears and penalties, its your companies reputation that's on the line.

Stay ahead of the game and make sure your business is compliant.
